At The DPL Atelier, we offer a flexible learning experience that lets you choose how you want to engage with our Create, Cut, Contour, Construct™ framework. Each four-month cycle focuses on a specific garment style — whether it’s a shirt, sundress, blouse, or pair of jeans etc. — guiding you from initial design to the finished piece. Following the framework is completely optional, allowing you to work on projects that suit your personal pace and creative goals.
“FOLLOW THE FRAMEWORK” IN DETAIL…
Premium members enjoy structured learning, following a step-by-step plan aligned with the framework. Each month builds on the previous one, ensuring you gain a well-rounded understanding of fashion design, pattern making, fitting, and sewing techniques. Throughout this month, you'll receive targeted support for making alterations that perfect the fit of both homemade and store-bought garments. Premium members can join live fitting clinic calls, where real-time advice helps you tailor each piece to your body. Recordings of these sessions will be available for replay to further support your fitting journey.
Professional Sewing
Bring your design from sketch to reality in our final month, dedicated to garment construction. My name is Alexandra and I’m an award-winning designer, pattern cutter & creative consultant (and have been for over a decade!).
I’m formally trained in luxury womenswear, though my career has seen me work with over 400 global fashion brands as I carved my own path into the fashion industry with morals, ethics and sustainability at the forefront of my endeavours.

Not at all. Standard tier is entirely self-directed study for you to access the content at your leisure.
For the live call, bespoke support and community elements inside the Premium tier, all quick-fire Q+A calls are held on a Monday, 16:00 (UTC +0) are recorded and available for replay.
Creative Coworking calls are held twice a month at alternating times to benefit a variety of time zones.
Fitting Clinic calls are held once a week at 19:00 (UTC +0) throughout March, July and November and are recorded available for replay with the opportunity to ask questions ahead of time.
You also have the opportunity to utilise Designer Diagnosis and submit a question to receive a tailored video answer which will be posted at the end of each month.

If you want to follow along with the optional framework cycle, I would advise setting aside around 2-3 hours a week. This includes the time to consume the weekly workshop and implement your learnings.

You can cancel your membership at anytime and it will be terminated at the end of your current payment period. If you pay monthly, we will not charge you for the following month and will terminate your membership. If you pay annually, we will cancel your membership at the end of the year.
